The park has been ok so far this year. It's only been open on Saturdays and Sundays since April 8. There have been some stupid people already. There was this one guy, who takes the cake. He thought that he had everything figured out. Let me give a little background information first. At the park, we give people the option that if they buy any kind of daily ticket, that they have the option to "upgrade" to a season pass (pay the difference between their ticket price and a season pass price) as long as they do it on the day that the daily ticket was purchased. We also accept coupons from Wendy's that take $10 off a regular general admission ($41.98) ticket (and for anyone 52 inches and taller and under 55 years of age). It helps save some money when you only plan on coming for one day. Well at first, he came up to the window with Wendy's coupons, where another employee talked him into buying season passes instead because they planned on coming more than once. He walked away and returned to my window about 5 minutes later. He wanted to refund his season passes that he just purchased and buy the Wendy's tickets instead. No big deal. I called my supervisor and she came and refunded it. Literally 5 seconds later, he came back to my window and asked to upgrade the Wendy's tickets to season passes. He thought that he had everything figured out. He was going to use the Wendy's coupons to buy 4 daily passes (with $40 off the tickets - $10 off each) and then upgrade them to season passes and it would save him that $40. What he didn't understand was that you have to pay the difference between the daily ticket (in his case the Wendy's dicount ticket $30.93) and the season pass ($55.19). He thought that because he used the coupon that the ticket he purchased for $30.93 should be worth $41.98 because it was still a general admission ticket. I tried to explain to him that it was a discounted general admission ticket, but he did not want to listen. Therefore, we had to refund him the Wendy's tickets and re-sell him the season passes. What an idiot! Did he really think that he could cheat the system? Or that the park would overlook something like that?! He made my head hurt, but I was amused and his determination that his $30.93 ticket was actually worth $41.98, even though it says $30.93 on the ticket. :)
Sorry, but I wanted to share that long story with you.
