He loved to watch the snow fall.
Having grown up in blistering Phoenix, he had never really experienced the joys that snow produced for a child's imagination. Now that he was based in Grand Haven, where the snow fell freely and the waters stayed cold, he was having the time of his life.
Mike had never fully understood his lover's obsesson with the snow. He grew up in sunny California himself, but the white fluff just didn't hold the same allure for him. He would readily admit, however, that watching Chester frolic about, his pallid skin turning bright pink where the frigid air could reach, the flakes clinging to his lashes... The sight warmed his heart with adoration.
Chester's laughter was like silver bells. "Come on, Mikey!" he called, and the dark-haired man found it impossible to resist his boyish charms. Stepping off of the porch and into the flurries, he went to Chester and marveled at how quickly his hoodie went from jet-black to white. The brunette pulled him into an embrace that would thaw even the most frigid heart and laughed gaily. "Isn't this great?"
Chester's happiness was infectious, seeping into every pore of Mike's being, and he smiled and leaned in for a kiss. The pale man's lips were so soft, so warm... save for the tiny sliver of metal that rested in the center of his lower lip -- it was frozen. It sent a jolt of fire through his mouth, making him moan. Chester reached up a gloved hand and pushed Mike's hoodie off of his head to tangle his fingers in the Asian man's dark hair. "Mikey," he breathed. "I need you."
Mike pulled back and stared deep into Chester's chocolate brown eyes, then nodded. "Baby, let's go inside. It's freezing out here." Chester grinned brightly, placed a quick peck on Mike's cheek, then ran toward the house. "Let's make hot chocolate!" he exclaimed excitedly, and Mike felt a tingle down his spine at how adorable Chester really was. The ashen man really did need him, it seemed, for he was so fragile, so innocent and childish that he just begged to be taken care of. And so Mike willingly obliged.
Hot chocolate sounded like a good idea just then, anyway.
Fin.
