Wild Weather and SES callouts

Aug 31, 2005 12:45

Yesterday Melbourne had another wild weather and alot of SES crews were called out to Storm Damage and flooding in the homes.

Sunbury SES were called out from 2pm on Yesterday and we didn't finish till 1:30am and some other crews had just finished at the same time as we did. We share a radio frequency with 5 other SES units and all of them were on callout (Gisborne, Bacchus Marsh, Melton, Craigeburn and Woodend) we didn't hear anything from Keilor but we believe they were busy too just like Broadmeadows Unit, We are expected to be called out later today too as there is still strong winds and many people don't know until they get home to call the SES to help out.

One of our (Sunbury SES) Rescue 2 died as we were about to go to another callout and so repairs have to be done to Rescue 2 as soon as possible and it looks like we need to get a replacement Rescue Vehicle as soon as we can and we just did that three years ago with Rescue 1.

On other news, I have started to reduce my medications as Dr. Hunter has asked me to do so hoping for the next three months that the T levels can rise and be to the correct levels.

At the moment while I am typing this lj post I am watching the Kurumi (Japanime (Japanese Anime)) DVD :o)

Leisha has offered me to move with her as housemates and I am still considering if I want to or not, as I have just gained more achievements being back at Sunbury SES and I just got back into things, but I need to sit down with my parents and stop saying that Sarah is not home while I am here! Grrrrr..........
