He wasn't sure how the hell he wound up here. But, here he was. In some place that wasn't Hyrule. It definitely didn't look like the future, or the past either, but at least Epona was with him, calm as ever, as he petted her nervously and curiously; scanning the area curiously.
Navi wasn't around. And Navi was usually with him and--Zelda? God, that's right. Zelda. Maybe she was here too.

[He definitely didn't see them, and Navi usually found him. He remembered Zelda mentioning how she wanted to send him back seven years to the proper time, but...he was still definitely seventeen years old.]
