Something beautiful touched my soul

This weekend has been filled with love. It started Friday night. I found out that Gem is still alive, which is a great thing to know, even if she hasn't talked to me in close to a year. Also, a group of us went to Jim's Steakout for a late night snack, and we had to pile everyone into the car(8 of us).
Saturday started out with me getting up to go to IGNIS, a fist-year retreat. It started off great. The trees were beautiful, the sun was strong, the sand inviting, the water fresh. I was able to meet some amazing people. We had a reflection time in which we sat in a comfortable position and the leader reminded us of our past. The best part was the music from every other year since we were born, and events that happend in those times. It was a relaxing expirence. The day ended with a mass on the beach. The moonlight was full, almost as if it were the sun itself. The crackleing of the fire sang perfectly with the lapping of the waves. The cathedral ceiling was full of bright stars.
Sunday was just as eventful as saturday. I woke up early to help at St.J/L/G's pancake breakfast at St.Lawrence. I didn't do much, but getting to see so many people from church was well needed. Afterwards, I went home with my family and watched the bills game with my dad. After the game, my dad and I headed to Walmart to pick up my pictures from WYT(which I still need to finish journaling about in Aldic's journal) and then he droped me off at St. Andrews for their CYO meeting. As soon as I got there, Amanda hapend to be coming out(perfect timeing ^^) so she gave me a big hug. We went in and I started talking to Joe Dom and Kevin, the three guys I got closest to in germany. The CYO meeting was interesting, more service oriented than St. J/L/G's is. After the meeting and the little bit of socializing I left, getting a ride from one of the youth group leaders. Amanda was at the door saying goodbye to everyone(she is co-president, so its one of those things she has to do), and we gave each other a very stong hug goodbye. Talking to the woman who drove me home was cool, many interesting conversations (Just wish I could remember her name). When I got back on campus, I was going to sit in the quad and write or do homework, but then I saw light in the curch, so I entered. It turned out that it was the first caldlelight mass that they were setting up for. The mass was enlightening. I also feel closer to God and all the people who were there.

Well, time to check my laundry and then get homework done, so I'll be by again later.
