"It was me, not you"

I tell no lie, my feelings were true.
I had them because of you.
But recently they slipped off slowly until the end
When I saw you as only a friend.
It wasn't you, you're too greatly adored.
This has happened before.
My feelings always revert back to the way they were
Before I said, "I kinda like her"
It's a common thing that I'm just made to do,
but I didn't mean to hurt you, too.
Just know this, you're a wonderful girl,
And you always rock people's world.
