Danielle's Wedding

The day was wonderfully beautiful and long. The chapel had stained glass windows with roses and the reception hall had crystal chandeliers and stained glass panels in the ceiling.

Nicki had to leave the wedding before it really started because she had her own graduation to go to and the wedding started 40 minutes late. Apparently, the hairstylist took longer to do Tara's, Aunt Pat's, and Danielle's hair than she originally thought. People were getting antsy, but they must realize this is not their day; it is Danielle and Jason's. If the wedding is late because of the bride or groom setting final touches in place, then everyone should try to remain composed. While it may be inconvenient for us, the bride and groom are probably having problems far more dramatic (for them at least).  :   )

Since there was no assigned seating except for two reserved tables, there was some drama. My family sat at three different tables: my mom and dad with the Silagis and Browns, Jennifer with the Eckenrodes, and Kristine and me with our two cousins and other relatives that I have seen before but did not remember their names. These tables were not adjacent either. I had fun nonetheless.

The food was excellent: chicken, roast beef, vegetables in a light cheese sauce, and fruit. This was a very good lunch.

My family is awesome when it comes to dancing. It seemed to me that we danced more than his side, but I may be biased. I danced almost for every song. I got my dance with Danielle too. They had the money dance. Since I got there early in its run, my dance lasted a little longer than others. She looked absolutely radiant.  I love you Danielle!

We also got to go to the after party at Jason's parents' house for a little while before we had to go to Kari's reception. Shrimp and Lascari's pizza is good.

Kari's reception was beautiful as well. The country club hall was quite long with gorgeous center pieces of red roses and red carnations. Dinner was good, but dessert was even better: strawberry and turtle cheesecake cubes. There was a craps table, a roulette table, and a candy bar. Not too many people danced, but Kristine and I still did our thing for a good portion of the night.

I must say that our dancing the night before sure got me ready for these receptions.

This day lasted from 8 am until 12 am, not counting how long it took me to get ready for bed and fall a sleep. Long, but wonderful.
