It's amazing how fast this month went by, how fast Christmas Day went by, and how much weight I feel like I've gained over the past two weeks. It is decided that I'm joining the gym in Jan.
People work well in pairs, or with partners-perhaps a fitness program that you and Veed do together may be cheaper? If you do go the gym route some health insurance offer discounts with some gyms, or fitness centers-be sure to check.
I can join the gym at work for really cheap. My job is at a University, so I can use their facilities for some crazy-cheap thing like $100 per year or something. I don't know if the spouse is allowed to join, though. I'll have to look into that. The problem will be more that I don't feel like going after working all day (which is why I haven't made it there yet). Though, we'll be moving in a few months so my commute will be getting a lot shorter (yeay!!!).
Now keep in mind everyone's different, so we all have our own way of doing things-but I like having a work out partner, or a gym, that pushes me to work harder. I like feeling a little guilty if my partner goes with out me, or if the gym is the right kind of crowd I don't want them to not see me, and embarrass myself by taking a day off. (Now it's a fine line between fun competition and crazy fucks who take it too far)
Let me know what the University crowd is like, as I've never really worked out at a College or University proper. And no matter what good luck with your goals!
Make sure you screen your PT's then, and find somebody who's willing to listen you-a lot of people like to think they know it all, and listening is a hard skill to perfect sometimes; and somebody you like enough to make small talk, or whatnot with.
I'm not actually getting a trainer- I can't afford that. I just think it would be a lot easier to have a more effective workout if I did.
I can't even find my excersize pants these days. I wonder if they're still in Denmark somewhere. Or at my parents' house. Maybe I need to hit up Target or Kohls for some work-out pants.

As for a buddy, I just don't think there's one available right now. See, what I really need is a personal trainer....
