Good Times!

Punkfest rocked. As always Cedric kicked ass (and broke his guitar in the process!). It was incredibly wet, however. All that damn rain from the hurricane made for a soggy and chilly afternoon. (The first half of the show was at a gun club, where there was a small open room where the bands played and a pavilion and out-door area to hang out.) We were there from 3:00 until 7:00 (when the out door part ended), went to a diner for dinner, then went to part two at a bar from 8:30 until 10:30 when we decided to go home. (I think the show actually went til 1:00.)) (I'm all about the parentheses today, apparently.)

Friday I met some people at the final 1st Friday of the summer in town. Splintered Sunlight played and they were good as usual. Fun times.

Today I need to get some cleaning done. I've been putting it off for so long. There are stacks of paper everywhere. Also, I need to get to the grocery store, pharmacy, and dollar store. And I need to drop off the cooler we borrowed yesterday to my parents. I need to start shopping for some blankets for our bed. It's a California King size, so you can't generally find sheets for it in the store. When we got the bed we got one set of sheets, which is fine. Now that it's getting cooler, I need a blanket and a comforter. It was darn chilly this morning! It's a shame I'll have to order on line and won't be able to see it in person when I buy it.

We're a week into Sept. already! It's coming up on my favorite time of year, and I'm very much looking forward to it. From now until Jan is tops! I /love/ the fall- the temperature, the smell in the air, the trees changing colors, wearing hoodies and long pants. Yeah. 55 - 75 degrees. Oh, yes. We're going to hike regularly when it's just a bit cooler. (And there are so many places to hike around here!) It's going to be fantastic. And then there are so many special days this time of year too- Claus's birthday, Halloween, wedding anniversary, my birthday, Thanksgiving, Christmas...
