Holy cow.
This was so way better than TPM and AOTC. Which is admittedly not hard in my book, but it was way better than I ever could have expected. It had a better focus on Anakin, rather than a generally wide focus. And Yoda got to kick butt again. And I was so right about how it would end and I wish I'd made bets.
I think my favorite part (or, at least, the part I considered most powerful) was the "Execute Order 66" sequence. It was well done and effective. The temple attack, which was part of it, also really got to me, especially the part where Anakin finds the younglings--I saw that coming about three seconds beforehand, and I was all, "Oh noes!" It was very sad, but it did a good job of really establishing how evil he is.
Plus, Bail Organa is my HERO. I love him. Go Bail, go Bail! It's such a pity that he gets blown up with Alderaan. But I did love the adding-in of extra details (IT'S CAPTAIN ANTILLES! YAY! VIVE ALDERAAN!) and the Corellian Corvettes that were in the movie. And it was nice to see those lovely Imperial uniforms again. Snappy! And there was a young Tarkin! SQUEE. (I'm a sucker for OT-stuff. So sue me.)
Oh, and the end. I wasn't so keen on Padme's death, but I suppose they had to get her out of the way somehow, so that the twins could be separated. And... ha-ha, teenage fangirls! Look at what your lust-object looks like now, eh? (PWNAGE.)
I hear there's going to be a television series soon, so that's a good, good thing. I was actually rather hoping there would be more, and perhaps I'll be able to watch this. I wonder if they'll ever have DVDs of the Clone Wars series? I'd like to watch that someday.
