I'm wondering if anyone has tried learning a language using the tips from Tim Ferriss's The Four-Hour Chef. In particular, he suggests starting by "deconstructing" the grammar by getting a native speaker to translate some basic sentences, like "The apple is red," "We give him the apple," and so on. This is the table I've constructed for Greek (with a few modifications); however, I did it using Google Translate, so I'd be grateful if a Greek-speaker could check it.
The apple is red.
Το μήλο είναι κόκκινο.
It is John's apple.
Είναι μήλο Ιωάννη.
I give the apple to John .
Δίνω το μήλο στον Ιωάννη.
We give him the apple.
Έχουμε δώσει το μήλο.
He gives it to John.
Αυτός δίνει στον Ιωάννη.
She gives it to him.
Εκείνη δίνει σ 'αυτόν.
Is the apple red?
Είναι το κόκκινο μήλο;
The apples are red.
Τα μήλα είναι κόκκινα.
I must give it to him.
Θα πρέπει να το δώσει σε αυτόν.
I want to give it to her.
Θέλω να το δώσει σε αυτήν.
I will know tomorrow.
Θα ξέρω αύριο.
I'm going to do it tomorrow.
Πάω να το κάνω αύριο.
I have eaten the apple.
Έχω φάει το μήλο.
I can't eat the apple.
Δεν μπορώ να φάω το μήλο.
I know that the apple is red.
Ξέρω ότι το μήλο είναι κόκκινο.
