It's been a while
I am doing this out of sheer boredom, it's tuesday and there's not much to do!
What have I been doing lately? Mark My Words just got out of the studio and recorded a 6 song demo ... you can check out a few unmixed tracks at http://www.myspace.com/mmw902
Get Tested also just got out of the studio and record 6 songs as well. They're not up yet, but check into http://www.myspace.com/gettested902 in a week or two and there should be a couple tracks up there.
Get Tested are playing this Friday at One World and Sunday at the Bedford Firehall. Come check us out if ya wanna. I think sometime next month, MMW and GT are gonna have a release show. Check back for that too!
I have a few new tattoos on my left arm. On the upper part I have a pair of hands holding a heart with a fur lining and a crown with their names in the knuckles. Underneath it I have a pair of swallows holding a banner saying punk life. Soon enough I'm getting a tattoo of the bluenose. I always wanted a ship, but not just a typical ship. This one will have some meaning, it will represent how I was born and raised in Nova Scotia.
I met a really awesome girl a few months ago named Rosie. She's a fox, she's funny, loves to party and likes awesome music. I think we're starting a d-beat band very soon, I'm excited. We're not dating, but we're pretty good friends and I'm happy with that.
For a long time, there were a lot of newfies crashing at my house. 10 of them i think! It was crazy. Lots of good porch parties. But with that came a lot of cops trying to break up our parties. Fucking pigs. Eventually though, my roomates got sick of the place being a squat so some of them got their own place, some went to ottawa and some went back to the rock. It was fun while it lasted.
It's been a pretty good summer, lots and lots of partying. Nothing beats having a pile of friends over in your backyard in the shade. Lawn chairs, beer, dope, music. It's awesome. I really wanna go swimming soon, but this fucking tattoo isn't letting me!
