I think it's important for understanding. All soviet and russian people knows that Gore ot uma is the poem. We studies it in school.

Good point. A foreigner may not understand the entire irony. It is like if an English actor would not know that Romeo and Juliet is a play and not a novel.

Also, I'd like to point out that the translation above is stylistically incorrect. "fuck it" is way more obscene than "нафик". An adequate translation would be "hell, drop it, it rhymes!"
