I think memrise.com has the vocab of the Genki books in their courses. Memrise is a memorization/mind training website that I find very useful.

Genki is OK, but you will find A LOT of good textbooks in Japan, just look for a big book store whenever you're in a largeish city. :)
Especially kanji-learning oriented books. Supplement that with a generous amount of variety TV-shows. ;)
If I were you, I'd bring the first one, and buy the rest of the books you need in Japan.
