King X the Yth of His Name...
Where did the construction quoted in topic originate? I'm aware of it popping up in late Medieval Poland, and in France (but France had had Louis IX in the times of the Crusaders, for Pete's sake!)... so, where did it come from? I've rarely seen it used in English, apart from G.R.R.Martin's epic saga...
