japanese translation
Would any advanced / fluent / native JP speakers be interested in helping to translate phrases from a game?
It's, uh, a dating game (lol). Obviously you need to know what you're saying to the person otherwise no date for you. :C
I realize this would be time-consuming, though quite frankly the phrases aren't complex (I can tell because someone translated the intro or whatever) and the game is more like a ROM or what-have-you, so it's not really deep or complex or superlong like an usual videogame (like Final Fantasy) would be. It's more like... yay there's potential folks to date, tell them the right things, date happpens, everyone's happy, the end. Sounds good?
Anyways, if anybody's interested and wants more details, LJ message me, please. I don't really expect anyone to, uh, do this for free (not really), which is why I'm willing to discuss... options with whoever is interested. And I'm sorry if it seems like I'm being cryptic on purpose... I just don't want to break any rules or make anyone feel uncomfortable by discussing the details here. After all, this is public space and the game is definitely 18+, hehe.
...But at the same time I really do need to know if anyone would be up for it. Thanks!
(P.S. A non-human translator is something I considered, except I don't see how that'd work; the game is kinda like a ROM, and you can't copypasta text from it, so as far as I can tell this is the only way. Here's a worksafe YouTube vid of it. As you can see what I require is to know what the phrases mean so I know what to do / how to beat the game, lol. This video explains just the game itself, not how to interact with the players - which is what I need.)
