Update from the mods?

I don't wish to be tedious, but it's been a full three weeks since I posted here asking for some clarification from the maintainers on a recent act of moderation and a full week since their last communication on the subject which promised a response "sometime soon". Any of the mods care to hazard a revised estimate? I appreciate that you're all

I just wanted to add that I'm also interested to hear what's going on with this.

Racism is something that's a part of language and how language is used, and I had a similar reaction to wiped to the post in question, I just didn't get involved in the comments because quite frankly I was afraid of encountering the same reaction that wiped did (and because I rarely read comments on this community unless it's related to a specific language I'm interested in). But if we can't talk about the ways in which language is used to perpetrate racism...what's the point of having a community on linguistics? /ramble.

Anyway, I didn't want to extend that debate, just to add that I was also bothered by the moderation action and would like to see what's going on with moderation in this community. Thanks for posting this, muckefuck.

Sorry for the delay... We've had a long discussion about this is and we came to a consensus about our follow-up post. One of the moderators said a few days ago that he will write up a post soon. He's been busy with school himself as well, so I will write one up by Sunday evening if he isn't able to.
