could you point me to a UPA chart? Uralic Phonetic Alphabet.
and... how are the overlong vowels and consonants of Estonian marked in IPA? on the IPA chart i found four vowel-length possibilities: short, extra-short, long, half-long. am i right by assuming that Estonian overlong vowels are written in IPA as long, and Estonian long vowels as half-long? or is there any other way to transcribe Estonian into IPA? what about three length of consonants? are they marked the same way like vowels?
