I recently caught myself on stressing the wrong syllables in some words. For example: the Dutch word for vivid is 'levendig', but I keep saying 'levendig'. And the Dutch word for academy is 'academie' but I keep saying 'academie'. I do this without thinking, and even though I know the right pronunciation, I keep doing this. It appears normal to me doing this when you're learning a new language, but in your native language? Has anyone else had this before?
