Dissecting English writing

Aug 22, 2005 15:31

Is there a word or phrase that accurately describes when people write English in a highly "foreignised" fashion, accentuating each foregin word by leaving them in a (semi-)unaltered format (other than "being a pretentious prick")?

E.g.

"Pædagogy has been a highly-important field throughout history. Often, when one looks through the façade of primitive æsthetics, even the most 'barbaric' of civlisations have shown a smörgåsbord of educational rites. In fact, mankind's forté may not be the ability to learn, but rather to pass that knowledge onto another without direct experience".
