I cobbled this one together from my mom's recipe plus a few others I found on the Internet. All measurements are approximate :)
2 tsp minced garlic
2 Tsp olive oil
1 cup Morningstar "ground beef" crumbles (what was left in the bag)
1 package Morningstar "sausage" crumbles
1 can tomato sauce
2 cans black beans
1 can water (use can from black beans or tomato sauce)
1 can vegetable broth (use can from black beans or tomato sauce)
2 cups frozen corn
1 jalapeno pepper, chopped
cinnamon
cumin
chili powder
Shredded cheese (optional)
In a big pot over medium heat, saute the garlic in the olive oil. Add the rest of the ingredients, except for the cheese. Add the spices last, until chili tastes right. Lower heat, cover and simmer for about 2 hours. Top with shredded cheese if the spirit moves you. Serve with corn muffins made from Jiffy mix.
