Ohioans - save your libraries!
Governor Strickland has proposed a budget in which Ohio libraries' funding would be cut by half. Many Ohio libraries rely solely on state funding, so this budget would shut down many libraries, and drastically reduce resources for many more.

Understanding that nothing will ensure Ohio’s future prosperity more than creating a world class education system, Governor Strickland won the legislature’s support for new funding for early care and learning, primary and secondary education, and Ohio’s public colleges and universities.
Hey, Strickland: How in the blazing blue FUCK do you plan to have a "world class education system" without libraries?
I started my library career in Ohio, in a little tiny small-town library that could very well be shut down by this horseshit. I'm down here in SC and can't do much but spread the word. Ohioans, please PLEASE write to your congresspeople forthwith.
