(no subject)
I made it safely to Lawrence despite the rain.
They fucked up my room. I was supposed to be in a newly renovated room but I'm not. I decided to not switch 'cause I'm excited about my roommate and this one actually seems bigger. and it's $600 less. I am getting my bed lofted so that I have room to put my fridge somewhere other than in the middle of the floor and maybe so we can fit something to sit on while we watch the tv.
Moving my stuff into the room was easy. We came at like 8 so it was practically empty. Since I could't carry anything heavy, I mostly just took everything out of suitcases and such so that mom and Dennis could take them home. It was fast and easy.
Setting up took hours. I'm still not totally done. I kept doing stuff but nothing seemed to be getting done. Then I did like two things and suddenly, "poof!", it seemed livable.
Since I'm waiting to get my loft I can't put things on the wall 'cause they'll just get in my way. I'll probably have to move around a lot of stuff once I get it set up.
oh yeah, I got a number here. it's only local so I can't call you on it. You'll just have to call me. (I do still have my cell phone but I'm gonna try to limit myself so I don't rack up a huge bill). My new number is 785-312-7655. I think.... okay, I checked, that's right.
Maybe tomorrow I'll actually put effort into meeting anyone and figuring out where things are.
Oh yeah, and I have to call a mechanic. My blinkers quit working on my way up here.
