“Will you, stop that,”hisses Eeteuk finally, after a crumpled up paper hits him in the side of the head for the 40th time that minute.
Heechul just rolls his eyes. He had developed this annoying talent of keeping one trained on the door and the other wherever he wants. It was quite disconcerting actually. Eeteuk thought it was grotesque. Not that he’d ever say it to Heechul’s face; not when he had a gun and was certainly not afraid to use it.
“No,” says Heechul shortly, tossing another one, which hits Eeteuk on the forehead this time. “How will I keep myself amused?”
Eeteuk shrieks and jumps up from his desk, ready to strangle Heechul the exact minute a sergeant walks in. By that time Heechul was as phony as he needed to be , bet intently over his paperwork like the good soldier on desk duty that he was.
Eeteuk is forced to do clean up duty in the mess room ( hall?) the next day.

Out of the corner of his eye, Kibum can see Donghae pick the biggest slice of watermelon off the tray and take a big bite out of it. The same eye twitches when the air from the rotating fan a few feet from him blows his bangs into it. Kibum hates itchy eyes.
Sungmin is already wailing; he flings a ballpoint pen at the wall which explodes on impact.
“Whyyyyyy,” he whines, running a hand through his hair. “We’re just roommates. It’s not like we’re fucking each other or something. Why do you depend on us to live?”
“Because he’s an idiot,” says Shindong, forgoing a math packet for a bag of chips next to him.
“I can’t do this,” says Donghae desparately. “School starts tomorrow and I have none of my summer work done.”
“Hyuk jae does,” Sungmin points out. “And he hangs out with people like you.”
“But you live with someone like Donghae,”says Kibum, not even looking up from Donghae’s physics packet.
“It’s because I couldn’t stand the last guy who was here,”says Sungmin. “I’m allergic to cats. And Chinese men. “
“You only say that because Zhou Mi stole your boyfriend,” says Shindong, while Sungmin glowers.
“I KNOW WHO LEE SUNGMIN DOESN’T DEPEND ON TO LIVE,” hollers Sungmin, smothering Shindong with a pillow.
Kibum just rolls his eyes while Donghae purrs happily, head in his lap and still eating watermelon.

Heechul comes in the door with Hankyung in a tow; he was literally spitting fire. The room stares at the two of the with varying expressions of confusion and Eeteuk looks very perplexed before the pair leaves the room in a huff (“WHY IS DOES EVERYONE LOOK AT US LIKE WE FUCK ALL NIGHT LONG?” screams Heechul before the door slams. Eunhyuk looks at Donghae , confused. “Because they do?”)
Siwon comes in a few minutes looking extremely harassed; his hair was touseled, shirt was ripped and a purple bruise was kind of blooming into sight on his cheek.
“What happened?” demands Eeteuk; he sends Ryeowook into the kitchen for a boiled egg.
“It was a stupid joke,”says Siwon quickly, raising his hands. “But please, don’t shoot the messenger.”
Eeteuk sends Siwon a look that makes him wither before responding again. “The garage boy cracked a joke about Hankyung -“
“Oh, a joke?” says Donghae brightly, abandoning his cards. “What was it?”
Eeteuk scowls at Donghae before looking back at Siwon who sighs. “What do you call a fat Chinaman?”
Silence.
“A chunk.” Finishes Siwon, while everyone just stares.
“That’s the stupidest joke ever,” Sungmin finally says, which is why Heechul dotes on him for the rest of the day, and Donghae is the only one to howl with laughter before Ryeowook hits him over the head with a frying pan. (“Don’t laugh,” Ryeowook says, angry. “Don’t laugh.”)
“So what happened?” repeats Eeteuk in a steely voice, convinced that the story didn’t end yet.
Siwon looks ashamed and bows his head. “Heechul hyung just laughed and shut the door on the garage boy’s hand. He broke three fingers.”
