[RADIO] Memory 02 ☆ Entangled
[When the broadcast starts, only the most perceptive of listeners in the quietest of space will be able to hear the sounds of calm breathing with low electronic hum in the background.]
Hey, Lyle, will you tell me something?
[The woman's voice is soft and relaxed, a manner to address one within intimate distance. She can be recognised as Stellaris, but simple co-workers and casual acquaintances probably never heard her speak that way. The man called Lyle responds gently.]
What is it?
About your brother.
[There is a marked period of silence before he answers, his Irish accent now more noticeable.]
I don't have much memories about him. I've lived in a dorm ever since junior school.
Why in a dormitory?
Because I didn't want people to compare me with my perfect brother. I chose to run away rather than to confront that.
[His explanation remains calm, if laced with a self-deprecating edge. That confession doesn't seem to perturb her, as her dulcet tone remains unchanged.]
But you became a Gundam Meister like your brother, didn't you?
[An ironic chuckle.] Our motives are different. ...Come to think of it, ░░░░, I've never heard about your family before.
My family?
Yeah.
[His attempt at shifting the topic seems to have backfired. She doesn't answer-or can't. The sound of her breath, then a rustling of fabric before she stutters, stumbling on words.]
I'm- That's...
[Enough time passes to know her answer won't come. He sighs. Following another round of fabric rustling, he speaks again, his voice closer and gentler than before. The stereophonic balance shifts to the left side, as if hearing someone speak close to one ear.]
If you don't want to talk about it, you don't have to. Right now, you're here, ░░░░. [His voice dips into a soothing whisper.] That's enough for me.
Lyle...
[They stop talking. Only a mixture of muffled noises and the ever-present electronic hum are heard, then-
A loud, high-pitched screech, like the effect of a damaged cassette tape, cuts the broadcast.
A few seconds later the sound turns to static again. It seems as if it's the end of the clip, but then her voice is heard again, in a dazzled tone.]
Huh? I'm...
Don't space out while we're kissing.
[Words of chiding, tone of teasing. Typical, to those who knows him.]
[A nervous chuckle.] Sorry.
[OOC: Taken from Gundam 00 season 2 episode 18, "Entangled Yearnings" (12:51-14:22). Conversation between Stellaris and Gene-1 (Lyle). The latter might be mistaken for Lockon/Aim/Neil unless one knows the twins well enough to make a distinction.]
