If anyone suddenly hears a song about an outlaw named Picasso calling his lover on a cellular phone, please do not be alarmed. It might just mean I am ★Magical in the vicinity.

Lockon-san, can I have a talk with you? Gene-san, [a rather long pause] it may be of purpose if you are present too ( Read more... )

On what scale is the construction in question?

Depends on what materials are within my means, but at the least is 5 metres in internal diameter.

I cannot claim any expertise, but it does not sound like too complicated a task. If you give more details, I will see what I can draw up.

As I told Genius below, I wish to construct a planetarium. That is a [pause] theatre for displaying stars, using the projector I showed you before.

But I haven't made up my mind whether a portable, inflatable dome or a more permanent frame would be better.

[ooc: Hope it's alright I assume she showed him the projector before the hurricane?]

I see - a curved surface upon which to project the light, to simulate the curve of the Heavens.

[There's a pause in the writing, a thoughtful pentap, then a quick, neat sketch appears.]

If the triangle frames are made of a light material, they may be individually portable, while the structure itself is very stable.

[OOC: It makes sense yes ^^]

Curve? Your breadth of knowledge impress me me each time, Huo. I didn't know you dabble in cosmology, too. As far as I can recall, study about the shape of the Universe had not depart from theoretical even in my time, but with advancement of space travel people back there should be getting closer.

That geometry makes structural sense. I do wonder what material available here could withstand snowfall, yet not be too heavy.

On another note, since you like spending time outdoors, do you have any recommendations on which islands make the best building locations?

Certainly I cannot offer further insights to one who has traveled among the stars; merely dabbling, one sees the curve of the Earth and images the Heavens to encircle it, a sphere within a sphere. Yet what is that but speculation to ease the weight of one's ignorance?

As for materials, wood would be cumbersome. I have observed some unusually light metals, but here my knowledge is exhausted even more quickly than in matters of astronomy. The park on Captain Planet naturally suggests itself for a location, though there is the question of building in a public place.

A pity the memory of any actual traveling got lost on my way here.

00 has graciously offered Haro to help structural calculations. I think I would visit the Bazaar and Yard Sale to see what materials are available before finalizing designs.

Captain Planet? I heard that Hawk is building his house on that island, though I don't know the exact location.
