There once was a little girl with no one. No one to talk to. No one to lean on. No one to hide her tears. She was alone, and had always been. It seemed everywhere she turned everyone was so happy together. Smiling, laughing, loving. The girl had wanted that too. She didn't understand why she was left out of this happiness. Was she cursed? Or did others just not like her? Confused, the girl wandered about day in and day out.  Hoping, silently begging for anyone...ANYONE to find her. To pick her up and protect her from that
harmful world that she lived in. A girl like her could've gotten hurt by all the stomping feet of those happy people walking by. It would only be a matter of time before the girls soul just drifted away, forgotten.

During this time of being alone, the girl saw how cruel the world was to live in. The pain and suffering. The heartbreaks and sadness. These people weren't happy. They were just wearing masks. To hide their faults, because the people were always afraid to show their true selves. The girl didn't understand this either.  Why were they so afraid? And WHAT were they so afraid of? Everyone wasn't perfect... so why had everyone tried so hard to appear that way. This world was so....fake. She could see now why no one was happy. And for that reason, the people of this world, were very angry. The held little kindness for each other,
especially the girl. Because she wasn't wearing one of those masks, because she was openly displaying her sadness...the people picked on her. They used her openly displayed flaws and talked about them, making themselves feel better about their own pain.

The girl, alone and sad..and now ridiculed, wandered away from them. But they kept coming. The people were merciless. Did they really feel that way about her? She didn't know what to say, so she let them speak so unkindly about them. She pitied the people, even as they began to throw rocks at her. They didn't like the girl after all. They seemed to just want her to go far far away. They didn't even want to look at her.

Even more hurt now, the girl questioned why she was there anyways. She wasn't doing anything right.  Everything she did, the people would laugh and tell her she wasn't doing it right. They broke her down, until the girl believed she really was useless, as they said. She was now completely broken down. The girl had no  more happiness, and didn't even have any pity for the people. She was simply waiting for her end.

However, just as the girls sadness was at its peak, and the people of the world were readying more rocks to throw at her, something happened. Just as the girl was ready for the rocks to pummel her...they didn't. The girl looked up, to see a boy standing infront of her. Where had he come from? And what was he doing? Soon, she saw that the boy had taken the rocks for her, he stood there glaring at the people who'd
thrown them.

"Whats wrong with you?!" the boy yelled at the people. "Are you really so low, that you have to harm others to forget about your own pain?!" When the people stopped laughing, the boy lifted the little girl in his arms and ran. The girl was scared. And didn't want to be so close to him. She wasn't sure if she could trust him even if he did get hurt because of her. But...there was something different about this boy. He hadn't  been wearing a mask either! The boy was just like her. That settled her fears, she didn't feel like she had to be scared anymore. And she held onto the boy as he took her away from the people.

When the boy finally sat, he still hadn't let go of her. He kept her warm body against him, and held her. The girl wasn't sure what to do. She couldn't speak, his warmth had made her so comforted. So sleepy. She soon fell asleep, cradled on the boys lap.

And during the night, the boy would repeatedly get up and run away, as the people would come to throw rocks at him and the sleeping girl. He was sure not to wake her, as he took her far away, and hid her from the pain of the people. They were fools, but he would help this girl. Even if he had to carry her forever. He'd protect her from them. And upon that night, the boy proclaimed his duty. To always protect the girl. He would take her pain for her, and he'd help her become a better person that the others of the world.

By morning, the girl had woke to see the boy sleeping against a tree. But she was still held in his arms, though he was badly beaten and scarred. Had the people done this to him? she wondered. The boy really was nice to her. She felt so...safe. For once in her life.

[ to be continued. I was in a sappy mood, which is very. VERY rare. i'll wait until another one comes to continue
