(no subject)
This is a weird Monday.
I will, as I feel I somewhat have to, address, as will numerous others on this lj world, that it's now been 5 yrs since the whole 9/11... wow I can't think of the right word to use. You know what I mean. It's still surreal in that I cannot believe it happened at times, nor that it was 5 yrs ago already. So that's One.
Two is that this weekend other than Mel's party was grr worthy at times.
Luckily the weather behaved since half the party was outside. It's the bags. They call to me saying you know you want to win! Go play! One of these years I will actually make myself a set. I was good though and didn't grumble at the Cubs set. lol. I know. It's a default setting at times. She's a Cubbie supporter and I love her anyways. lol. Anywho. Lots of laughs, too many people in the silly sombrero, keg stands - not by me since I have never done one nor did i know the people who would be picking me up enough. I have this thing where if I don't trust you, please don't pick me up and hold me upside down. It make perfectly good sense I think. lol, the dog wiping out most the lawn furniture. It was a fun nite.
So that's the yay part for the party. Drew wasn't able to make it though, also resulting in Mel an' J9 not meeting him. I felt really bad saying he should stay home but I didn't want him to get worse, though that was inevitable and our Sunday plans for Roller Derby had to be cancelled. So no seeing each other this weekend, weekends being the chance to actually see each other, so that really sux. GRR! He's still sick today. It's hard to not worry or be concerned but I really want him to feel better. He rarely gets sick and this one is a doozy.
AND now I'm all yucky headed due to this rain. Oh allergies how I adore you. I think I just need a few nights of non-nightmared sleep and I should be ok.
A week from Wed though is when I'm out of here an' in Breck, CO. I'm so excited about that though. I can't believe Im saying it but I'm looking fwd to golfing. After actually learning what I'm doing from Drew who actually knows how to golf, I'm better than horrid so that works.
Grr need more tea.
