"One thing that we talked about in the meeting yesterday was that artists are not specifying ink colors to the SP shop or they are give PMS ink mixing colors to the shop on ink colors that are standard colors of ink.
Here is an example of one today…
Mandy gave Tony a job with 4 PMS colors of ink, but one was PMS 465…I think. Tony showed it to me and it is an exact match to Dolphin orange but she listed it as a mix color.
Basically she does not know what colors that we have back there and she is not taking the time to figure it out. Will you watch for this and address it if you see more of it? You will see it on jobs that are for Seps.
Also he has said that there are jobs that are coming through with an ink color of “Pink” or “Blue” because that is what the sales person said to design it with. But it is the designers responsibility to make the directions more specific than that to production. Please watch for this also. I bet situations like this are coming from Either Mandy or Sherri because they are still fairly new, but they need education on what they are supposed to choose and then transmit that information down the information chain clearly and complete."
Seriously?!
You know what, upper management? If I wasn't doing MY job...you would FRAKKING KNOW IT! Why don't you tell the SALES REPS to do THEIR JOBS and list said PMS colors like they're SUPPOSED TO?! We don't fill out the frakking work order sheets! My JOB is to design the shirts AS THE WORKORDERS SAY, not to pick PMS colors for the frakking sales reps that are too LAZY to do it themselves! *AARGH!*
And EXCUSE ME - WHERE are we supposed to find out what our stock colors transfer to in PMS colors if we don't HAVE SHEETS TO TELL US? (And THIS is from the guy who looked at me like I was an idiot when I asked for swatch sheets! IDFK, PEOPLE! )
WHY are people such FRAKKING MORONS?!
*HEADDESK*
Oh, and BY THE WAY, it's "MANDI." I've worked here ALMOST A YEAR. GET IT RIGHT. LAZY ASS MOTHERFRAKKERS.
