It could be something as simple as the recent files list, if you've opened projects from PC2. Why that'd stop it opening at all I wouldn't like to speculate, but this is Adobe and they do make some fucking weird choices. See if you can clear the list - CCleaner can wipe it if there's no option to do so in PS itself.

CCleaner seems quite handy. But didn't make a difference.

You know of any software that can tell me which appliacations are trying to access which files/resources? If I can work out what it's trying to access I can probably fix it.

I deleted the Photoshop preferences file and it fixed it. I've done that before recently so concerned it might come back again. Don't want to keep deleting prefs but at least it works for now.

block ingoing/outgoing requests from photoshop with your firewall. That should stop the little bugger looking for your other machine.

That will stop it being able to find the other machine, but it won't stop it looking every time.

Try re-setting the preferences file and then setting it to read only?

It appears to be ok now. I did delete previous preferences files before but didn't make a difference. I did a registry clean and deleted prefs again and it seems to have sorted it. Not had any problems yet.
