Christmas has come and gone. It's time for a bit of a wrap-up I suppose. Where to begin? hmm...

I would say that christmas [for me] officially got under way with vente starbucks pepermint mocha when I was out shopping with Laura and Carl. I already spoke of this in a previous journal entry. That was an interesting day.

What next? hmmm. I guess we'll move on to the 23rd. The Williams' (Kathy, Laura & Andrew] had a Christmas Party and I ended up inviting Suzy [ notSuzanne ]. Also at the party were Sandy, Kim, Jimmy, Kendall, Eileen, Carl & Jess, the hobbit [Billy], Petty, wenis [Dennis], Jess & her roomie, and Bud. (hmm... am I missing anyone?) Had a great time at the party... some good eats... played some fishbowl... some present exchanging took place... all in all it was a good time. Wenis ended up getting his very first pair of boxer-briefs [i believe from jess] for christmas... and so of course he had to run upstairs and quickly change into them... and of course he had to bring his boxers down. Being the creative decorator that I am... I chose to use the boxers as an ornament on the Williams' Christmas-tree where as of Christmas Eve (4am) they still hung. See my mad crazy decorating skills for yourself...

Then of course came Christmas Eve. Laura and I ventured out early on (around 8am) so that we could finish our Christmas shopping... took us till about 2pm I think? Then I came back home and did some wrapping and eventually crashed in my bed. I woke up at 9pm and made a mad dash to the shower to get ready for church with the Williams' at 10ish. Got done church sometime after midnight and we made our way back to the Williams' house to exchange presents. However, Kathy had to run to Eileen's real quick so Laura, Carl and I made our way to Sandy's to pick up Kathy's christmas present... a ping pong table. This was an interesting sight... we had to take Carl's jeep so I ended up sitting on Laura's lap to get to Sandy's... but it wasn't as easy as just sitting on someone's lap.. cause we're special needs. lol. Once we got to Sandy's we got the ping-pong table into the back of the jeep [who the hell would have thought a ping pong table would be so flipping heavy?]... after the trip in the front w/ Laura & Carl.. I oped to go in the back of the jeep with the ping pong table on the way back. This of course was another interesting sight. Roaming the streets of Brookhaven... hanging out the back of a jeep... so of course I had to do some can-can dancing while trying not to fall out of the jeep and while trying to keep my balls from freezing off. haha... it was a good laugh. Eventually we got back into the house and finally exchanged our gifts. Everyone seemed to like what they got... and Carl ended up getting me the scarf I liked from Old Navy [it's really nice] and the Williams' got me a Polar Express Snow Globe that is KICK-ASS! When you turn it over to get the snow going the big tree in the center lights up and then you hear "All Aboard the Polar Express..." and then you hear the train starting up. It's really nice. After exchanging gifts we all got Andrew and Laura's gifts out. Then Laura, Carl and I (mainly Carl and I) created a scavenger hunt for Andrew's main gift. Then we made Laura leave and Carl and I did a scavenger hunt for Laura's main gift. hehe. Carl and I are santa's little helpers! In the end I ended up getting home at about 4am.

For the first time ever I slept until 12 noon on Christmas morning (i might add it was also nice for the first time in recent years to not be working on christmas day). My parents ended up giving me slippers (to compete with the roomies), an electric nose hair trimmer [lol - so that the roomie doesn't have to cut my nose hairs anymore... i know he's dissapointed), snow/work boots, some cash [which will be going towards school expenses], and old navy, wawa & amc giftcards among some other things. My sister ended up getting me some [christmas] village pieces, the dvd about a boy, the book 'Time Travelers Wife' which I started reading and it is VERY good so far, another old navy giftcard and some other things. After all the present opening was done I went upstairs to go back to bed when Brandon called to say he was in the area... so Brandon came over and I gave him his presents [I got him a bean bag chair and mom & dad got him a amc giftcard] and then we hung out for a little bit. Once he left I made my way back up to bed for about an hour and then it was time to get ready for Christmas dinner. It was yummy and had a good time w/ the family. Except towards the end of the night [after dinner and before dessert] I got a horrible headache and ended up having to go into the other room to lay down. Once we got back home Brandon came over and my parents, he and I watched some TV for a little while before calling it for the night.

Today it was Christmas on the other side of the family. Had the traditional "russion-roulette gift exchange"... I ended up with the regifted [by Erin] car wash kit that my dad [ugh] had given at last year's activities. All I have to say is... the family best not be surprised when that sucker ends up back in the runnings next christmas! Hung out with the family for a little while before heading home where I ended up going to bed. I was absolutely exhausted.

That pretty much sums up the activities thus far. I've been watching a lot of movies during my off-time. Lets see... I've seen a part of The Stand, Se7en, Playing by Heart, White Squall, Terms of Enderment, About a Boy, The Messenger and Steel Magnolias. I've clearly been trying to keep myself occupied. I'm about to put in Baz Luhrman's Romeo + Juliet and then call it a night.

human conduit. That's it for now folks.

Nighty night,
Kyle

P.S. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MEGHAN!!!
