Let's begin with Masque. Did he cause some sort of stir in May 2009?

Yes. At that time, a hoarde of stronger-than-normal zombies came out from the lower level of labs and caused a lot of problems for everyone. The Loudspeaker showed up in person to help us close the opening they were coming out of, with grenades. Masque arrived sometime later and pushed the Loudspeaker into the hole just as the last of the grenades went off. We thought he'd killed him.
