Coloured inks (black, blue, white, gold pigments) on brown paper
The companion piece to Commodore Norrington's portrait done in the same style.
Both pictures can be found on my site.
This is actually rather old, and dates back to a time when I was first experimenting with drawing quills and inks. I've since found better paper, figured out how best to work with those drawing pens and had more practice with crosshatching and clean line drawings. And, maybe even more importantly, the boys have settled on somewhat more constant looks. It's therefore likely that those portraits will be revisited at a later date, using all the newly-gained knowledge.
For now, Lt. Gillette seems to know something we don't. ;)
About my art on LJ: I'm not happy with the situation, but so far I haven't yet found a better place to share my art and have those lovely inspiring conversations with all the friendly people that I have here. Therefore, for the time being I'll continue sharing my art here, and do my best to answer everyone of your wonderful comments. :)
