Sickie poo
So I am sick AGAIN. Argh...I must be prone to the flu or something. I have had a fever, chills, hot flashes and aches and pains for two days and I haven't been out of bed except for the obligatory bathroom trips. All I want right now is T to be here so I can drape my sick self over him and he can take care of me. If he is good for one thing it is taking care of me when I am sick. I guess all the stress and lack of sleep finally caught up with me and my body finally shut down. Well at least I had the best sleep I have had in ages thanks to a little blue and white pill I took last night. Tylenol PM...best invention ever!
My dissertation is still at a stand still. And get this, my supervisor went on leave until the 17th (my bday!!!)without telling me and without telling me whether she found the data I need or not. Well, I have taken some things into my own hands and contacted some people at McMaster and UofT about the availability of their skeletal collections for graduate research. I got a response back from a prof from UofT that said permission for use is usually not a problem as long as there is a valid research question and a proposal can be submitted. I had to contact the person in charge of collection and of course she is away until August 22nd. As for Mac, the prof I contacted was on holidays until today so hopefully I will hear from her in the next couple days. It just seems that nothing will ever go right with this dissertation. Arghx2!!
