Paint the sky with stars

Everyone updating has put me in an updating mood, so here I go.
Not too much has been going on lately. This week is my last full week of classes, then finals next week and the week after that and I'm done with my freshman year. Crazy.
I just turned in a research paper, so I'm relieved about that, but since I've focused on that paper for so long I haven't done anything for my spanish research paper that's due very soon. crap. I'm not too worried about it, it just sucks to have that relief of getting a paper done only to be smacked in the face by another. That's really the last thing I have to do before finals though.
I'm starting to get pretty excited about Kappa Chi, and this weekend is full of it. Friday night is the pledge overnighter, then sunday evening is initiation/officer instillation. I'm excited to be on the other side of it, and I'm one of the VPs of service for next year so I'm really pumped about that.
I'm trying to think what else is new besides school...
I'm dating a Prom King. yeah. I can honestly say I never expected to say that in my life. But that was pretty exciting.
As far as this summer goes, I don't really have many plans. If there was one thing I could do all summer I would sit around and do nothing--but I guess I don't really want to do that either. I was planning on taking a biology course at parkland to get it out of the way, but i just found out it's closed. boo. I guess I could register for the other one that's open, but honestly, I won't be able to be out of my house at 7:30 in the morning four days a week all summer long. That's just not how I function. I'm already dreading my 8:00 next semester--I don't want to do that all summer. I know I'll be babysitting some (babysitting...i don't really know why I call it that. She's not a baby and she's perfectly capable of being on her own. I just get her food and swim with her in the pool and we hang out. I like it though), but she's going to 6,892 camps this year, so I don't know how often I'll be doing that. I'll be trying to get a job, but of course I didn't go fill out applications over Easter like I'd planned. I've applied to a couple jobs online, but I don't know what will happen with that. I guess we'll just see. I'd like to have a job so I can set aside money for when I study abroad.
I already have a summer reading list going:
--The Count of Monte Cristo (unabridged)
--finish Don Quixote
--Bendícemé, Ultima
--reread Beloved
I highly doubt I'll get through them all, but I just love the idea of being able to read for fun again. I spend so much time on school work that I forget that I really do like to read.
Well, hmm. I thought I had a lot more interesting things to say, but I guess not. I think my brain's kind of shot right now, and I don't think it'll get better until I've had plenty of time to sit in the sun and not think.
Oh yeah, and are there any Mahomet alums who are going to see the saturday night musical performance? I'll only be going to that one and coming back the next day, but I'd love to see anyone who's in town.

I have about 20 minutes before my roommate gets back from class so I think I'm going to catch a quick nap. I hope all is going well with you!
