My Walk In

May 21, 2009 14:34

I just want to say that I had a great walk in today.  I always do, the crossing guards and workers around the hospital parking garages just love me and always make me feel pretty and like ( I know this is strange) but like a business/working woman.  One of those women who wear suits and high heals that click loudly when they walk, and are sort of intimidating because they are so confident.  I think it's because it is all the beer-gut middle age men that are the ones that say good morning and start conversations with me.

This morning the crossing guard stopped traffic to help me cross, and then I saw this one man in the parking garage shoot a snot rocket out of his nose.  It was disgusting, and then I misjudged the direction he did it in, and I almost stepped in it.  And then I caught up to where he had stopped his cart of car parts, and he just kept on saying hi to me and good morning, and I took off my sunglasses and turned around and told him "Have a good day!" and I am pretty sure he thought I was checking him out.  But really I was still replaying the snot rocket incident in my head.

Can I mention that my sunglasses are H.O.T.  That's why I wear them...and because htey are prescription, so I can see too!

I also met Rodderick in Provance, the bakery I stopped in to get my crescent filled with chocolate, which by the way, they were having a special and I was able to get a coffee super cheap to go with it! (BONUS!).  Rodderick told me that they weren't hiring at the moment but to come back in a week or two and ask for him.  So I think I will.

Today I am working on my thesis (and actually enjoying it) and helping Calvin make histograms in Excel.  And if you have never tried doing that before, I should tell you that making histograms in Excel is probably one of the most hardest things I have learned how to do here, and probably one of my biggest accomplishments.  It definitly is NOT easy...and to make things a little worse, Calvin uses a Mac, and doesn't Right-Click. I have a hard time converting the actions to Mac.

Now...BACK TO WORK!!!
