It's not the east side or the west side...it's the Dark Side!
Well.
I cooked a porkchop, and some out it was better than heaven. While eating it, I kept on looking at it, and going "I made this? How can that be? It's sooooo good!" I don't know what I did either to make it taste like it did. And the weird part...it sorta tasted salty, sorta tasted like pancakes, and was sooooo buttery and rich. I know that doesn't usually describe porkchops, but this was not your usual porkchop. It was a porkchop from God. Not even joking.
I also used up the rest of our veggietables to make what I thought was going to be a fried stew thing, but really it turned out to be veggietable soup with not very much broth. Cabbage filled. It tastes like veggie soup but is spicy! I am waiting for Josh to try it to decide if it is amazing, okay, good, so-so, or plain old plain old.
Then I used up my last two eggs that were THIS close to being bad, and my over ripe bananas and made a banana bread. I used an off brand magic bullet to grind up the bananas and the thing had such a hard time doing it! And it was over ripe bananas! You really can't get softer than that, really. To my surprise, it did better on the walnuts...sorta. It ground them into a coarse nut flour, BUT left 4 not chopped at all. I added them in anyways. I had to cook it in a pie dish b/c I don't have a bread pan, and Josh's pork chop was marinating in my smaller glass casserole pan.
I have picked out the music to walk down the isle too, and back. It's gonna be good. Not even kidding you. Should I say what it is? Ooooh, I almost did...but then I thought, no...June 7 is the most popular day this year to get married, and I don't want anyone getting any ideas and copying mine. That's right. So I'll tell you when i get back.
I made a summer mixed cd for Josh and I to listen to on our drive to MI, it's my first Mixed CD ever that I made on my own. I think I will burn one for my friends and family too. It's got this amazing rap song to techno about Star Wars on it. (Did I just expose the extent of my nerdiness? No....their's a whole lot more where that came from!) But let's just say this song encompasses the movie as I see it, but in rap.
Shit. I forgot. I picked all my zircons today. And lets just say all these weeks of coming in on weekends and spending all my time preparing my samples for this was totally worth it. It was sooo satisfying picking them out. Plus they are cute and pink. Yes, I said it, Cute.
It's so hot here. I am sweating. And I love it. It's true. I love to be so hot that you sit in your own grease and sweat. Plus I haven't washed my hair in I honostly don't remember. I have showered...just not washed my hair or gotten it wet. The best part is that it doesn't even look that dirty at all. I don't know why. this has been the longest week of my life I swear.
*EDIT* I just read the above paragraph, and damn, I grossed myself out. I appologize. But it's still true. They don't call me Dirtball for nothing!
