I'll admit freely that I know nothing about Sarah Palin, except that she's the governor of Alaska and that a bunch of wildlife people really hate her; but I still feel a touch insulted that John McCain chose her as a running mate. It smacks of tokenism; the belief that the only way he is going to beat Obama is by running with a woman.
I just don't like the feeling of PANDERING. It says loud and clear to me, "well, little woman, I know you want a woman president, so here's your chance."
I'm starting to feel like this is a good year for a third party candidate.
