What I've been up to for the last month...

My bathroom used to suck.  A lot.  All 56 square feet of it.  Don't believe me?  See for yourself.  Notice the atrocious green sink, walls, floor, etc?  That cabinet used to be white and gold glitter, until I covered it up.   And the lights in the vanity?  They don't work.  By the way, I had to take the door off the hinges to take this picture, because when it's opened, it completely covers half the bathroom.  My bathroom design must have been an afterthought.

Dad helps me demolish the old place.

Check it out!  There was wainscoating here before.  I'm not redoing - I'm RESTORING!

Old wallpaper.  With a really awesome border.

I have a bunch more pictures of mess, empty room, etc.  But those aren't the good pictures.

But now it's all shiny and pretty!

Notice the different placement of the toilet?  And the sink?  Yeah.  Plumbing is so not fun.  But it is so worth it to be able to close the door without banging your knees.  P.S.  I hung a bifold door.  It's so much better.  I wanted a pocket door, but it would have involved moving studs.  And I was not interested in that.

That totally wasn't the bathtub I had before.  Nope.  More plumbing.  SO NOT FUN.  But SO WORTH IT.

That ducky is the only thing that survived from the old bathroom.  Well, the toilet did too; but I replaced the toilet seat.

What else is not fun?  electrical work.  I installed two outlets and a light.   And moved the light switch into the bathroom.  Genius who built the house?  Put it in the hall.

See the light?

These adorable shower curtain and hooks were scored at Target.  They only gave me 11.  I'm too lazy to take the package back.
