I didn't update at all while I was in Washington, so I'll try and update as best as I can about my time there.
Got in Wednesday night and went to dance. Didn't have to deal with "The Ex," which was nice. Afterwards, went out for a drink with Tim. Thursday, I went to lunch with Jordan, then to see The Holiday with Mom and Jackie. Great movie...highly recommended!!! After, Jackie and I did some last minute shopping. Then we all celebrated Jackie's birthday by going to the Smokeblossom. Great food, lots of fun.
Friday afternoon I went to coffee with Paul in the afternoon, then went and got my nails done with Amy. That night was our mock Christmas Eve, since Jackie had to leave the next day. Jackie opened all of her presents, and my Mom, Dad and I just opened the ones she gave us. Saturday morning, it was snowing like a bitch. Dad and I went and played pool, I made Christmas cookies with Amy, then I went to the Applewood Grill for Heide's brother's welcome home party. Lots of drinking, shaking our groove thangs, and fun was had by all.
Sunday afternoon, went to coffee with Skylar, then went to Jordan's house waiting for cookies. :o) That night, my family and I opened the rest of our presents (I got an iPod!!!!). Christmas day was pretty laid back. Mom and I went and saw Charlotte's Web (very cute), then came home and played a card game while waiting for dinner. That night was spent trying to download music onto my iPod in an almost futile attempt.
Tuesday, I had my annual physical at the doctor, then Mom and I headed over to Seattle...in the frickin' snow again. Somehow, we made it over the passes with little incident. We were exhausted, so we just hung out in the hotel. Yesterday morning, I flew out of SeaTac and landed in DFW to be greeted by Tony (yay!). We opened all of our presents last night (both here and at his parent's house), and I got lots of cool stuff!! New mixing bowls, new knives, a full size cutting board, a journal, a new gnome (!!!!), an at-home Yoga exercise kit, some clothes from Old Navy, and a kitty calendar! And something that Tony got me which was very sweet was a Hummell figurine. We had gone to an antique shop months ago, and I saw some Hummells and told him about how my mom had some and how I always thought they were so neat. Well, he remembered and bought me my favorite one!! (The Boy in the Apple Tree). It was the last thing I would've expected to get, but I love it.
And today I have the day off from work (yay!).
