205. Cathy Kelly, Always and Forever. In a discussion about good heart-warming books last week, Lyzzybee pointed me to Cathy Kelly so I looked for one of her novels in the library. I'm so glad I did; she's the closest I've read to a Maeve Binchy in a long time. I was rather amused though that this book pretends to be 600 pages long... but it has the littlest pages you've ever seen!!

206. Michael Camille, Mirror in Parchment: The Luttrell Psalter and the Making of Medieval England. This fascinating book approaches the Luttrell Psalter from an art historical point of view, using the illuminations to discuss not only what it can tell us about this particular manuscript and its provenance but also the more general interdependence of literary and visual cultures in the medieval period.
