202. Carole Matthews, Welcome to the Real World. This is a lovely romantic comedy interweaving a first person narrative with chapters told in the third person. A barmaid who sings takes on a job as temporary assistant to the world's most famous tenor. Their two worlds seem, at first glance, to be too far apart ever to find common ground. But encountering the realities of her existence helps him to overcome the ghosts of the past.

203. Harriet Evans, A Hopeless Romantic. *Another* lovely romantic comedy! Laura has spent far too long reading Georgette Heyer novels and believing in romance. So when she meets Nick in Norfolk after the end of another disastrous relationship, she is reluctant to believe that this time it's love. The ending might be inevitable but Harriet Evans achieves it with many enjoyable twists and turns - plus a namecheck for Persephone Books!
