Fibromyalgia: is a disorder classified by the presence of chronic widespread pain and tactile allodynia. It is not contagious, and recent studies suggest that people with fibromyalgia may be genetically predisposed. The disorder is not directly life-threatening. The degree of symptoms may vary greatly from day to day with periods of flares (severe worsening of symptoms) or remission; however, the disorder is generally perceived as non-progressive.
The defining symptoms of fibromyalgia are chronic, widespread pain and tenderness to light touch. Other symptoms can include moderate to severe fatigue, a heightened and painful response to gentle touch, needle-like tingling of the skin, muscle aches, prolonged muscles spaasms, weakness in the limbs, nerve pain,  and chronic sleep disturbances. Sleep disturbances may be related to a phenomenon called alpha-delta sleep, a condition in which deep sleep is frequently interrupted by bursts of alpha waves, which normally occur during wakefulness. Many patients experience cognitive dysfunction (known as "brain fog" or "fibrofog"), which may be characterized by impaired concentration, problems with short and long term memory, short-term memory consolidation, headaches, myoclonic twitches, and symptomatic hypoglycemia. Although fibromyalgia is classified based on the presence of chronic widespread pain, pain may also be localized in areas such as the shouldersm neck low back, hips or other areas.Eye problems such as eye pain, sensitivity to light, blurred vision, and fluctuating visual clarity, can also be a symptom of the condition .As a consequence of this sufferers may have to change their lens prescription more often.
check. check check. I was mentally going over the symptom list in my head as the doctor described to me. wow. i figured something was wrong, i mean i've been severely sick and in pain on and off for the past few years, and for the past few months recently i've been in constant pain but i figured it was stress. It makes sense though, everything else they've been testing for has come back negative. diabetes, negative. extreme anemia, negative. mono, negative.

At least i kow what it is now. I have another appointment in a few weeks to go see a specialist and discuss medication options, i really dotn want to be on painkillers especially at such a young age but my doctor said physical therapy and lidocain shots once a month would help me feel a lot better. there's a lot to consider. Atleast i know im not dying, at least it's something i can live with.

at least now i KNOW why i am in pain every day.
