Race and things

Race has been popping up a lot in online blogs. First I find out that Survivor is going to separate the contestants by race (Black, White, Hispanic, and Asian). I don't know what they are trying to prove by this. I think that the Black, Hispanic, and Asian teams should get together and make the White group the social minority on this island. you know, as a quasi-scientist I have a natural skepticism about experiments and about the experimental practice. I'd like to see that experiment redone with both white and black testgivers and see how the reactions of the kids go. It looked like the administrator in Brown v. Board was white, and it might be that kids even that young pick up on the sentiment of white-black relationships and try to tell what they think the administrator wants to hear. Oviously if that were the case that would be a problem too -

I agree with jess about heritage- I vaguely know mine and that's just through etymology of last names. I also think the self-esteem thing is something that would still be going on even if everyone that tried skin bleaching cream would just like burst out of their old body a white woman like lara Flynn Boyle does wout of Zelda Rubinstein in Poltergeist III. People of all sexes and races need to get to a point where they realize what they have is what they have and they need to work what has been given to them like those girls on those police cruisers saturday night or that trans chick on JDick's modeling catastrophe. You see, trashy pop culture is worthwhile because at least it is accessable, thats why there needs to be more diversity in media :b

PS Pat B is sounding a little batshit nuts. I heard at work that Oliver Stone cast a white guy as this real life black guy and people got PISSED http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/06228/713723-254.stm
