Halloween 2009

The kids went with their friends Amanda and TJ as the Scooby Doo Gang - can't ever remember the actual name. And they didn't have a Shaggy, unfortunately. But they were darn cute.

I have to post a lot of pictures of Clara because she was break-my-heart cute in her huge glasses.

Cuuuute, smart Velma.

Sweet, blurry Velma.

We took them to the Mall-O-Ween first for trick or treating.

Mall-O-Ween totally sucks if you're older than six. It was us with fourteen thousand other adults trying to direct their kids slowly through the mall. Why we did this, I'm still not entirely sure. This is Tim (on right) with our friends Dave and Deb.

But one cool thing was they got to go up on stage all together and say their names - their character names - into the microphone.

And another cool thing is that we ran into Aunt Leah and Conner. Leah made her costume all by herself!! And Conner's. Weren't they freakin' awesome!?

And this random family wins.

I like this pichure.

And this one.

Oh yeah. We went over to Deb's house before the mall and got the kiddies dressed. Philip was the froggie. Max was the monkey. I made the kids this Family Fun magazine recipe for Swamp Juice and I was the only person who liked it. It had awesome colored huge tapioca pearls in it. Oh well.

The Mystery Gang, that's it.

And then afterwards we let them go around my mom's neighborhood for like 5 minutes. We were SO tired. Long day. Long weekend! Awesome Halloween this year. This is the next door neighbors' front porch. Elliot kept thinking he was going to a Haunted House. Next year I'll have to take him to a real one.

Philip's First Halloween.
