Hello, I'm Lindsey and welcome to my LJ. I tend to lock some of my personal entries because sometimes people can be very rude and immature about some things. All fandom, sports or things I deem funny will not be locked. Below you'll find information about me that might help in making a decision about friending me. If you don't want to reaad all then, please comment on this entry and tell me that you've friended me. Please be warned that I can be a tad paranoid, so it may take a few days before I've friended you back. That said, please respect my right to deny access into my life.
Preferably a screen resolution of 1024x768 or higher and IE 7 are needed to view my journal directly. My layout, graphics, FO banners and a majority of my icons are made by me. They're credited if I didn't make them. Though I tend to make all my stuff anyways.
I'm not really a "friend me and I'll friend you back" person. The language in my journal at times is obscene and I have a love for the word "douchelord". It also contains pornography, your general bitchiness, fits of rage and emo-ness, and OCDs. If you don't like what I have to say then by all means click the X at the top of the screen or your back button.
This is MY journal and I am free to write anything that I wish to write. Please note that sometimes I don't give a fuck what people think unless I really trust you. Feel free to state your opinions, but remember opinions are like assholes, everyone has one. Often times, I do get mad at the world and defriend people. It's okay, it's just a small fit of irritation on my part. Give me a day or two to friend you back.
I am a GOONER (If you don't know what that is I suggest you go here and educate yourself). So it's natural that there will be Man Utd., Chelsea, and Liverpool bashing within this journal. Cunts.
I'm female, bisexual, married, and have two children: one has been deceased for 6 years, the other, 18 month old. Grimm and I have been together for 8 years and I love him to death. I'm semi-agoraphobic, clinically depressed, a bitch (at times) and a brat who wants everything her way. I'm not employed as I have social phobias and issues. My therapist once said, "You do not fuction correctly according to the parameters of society due to your anti-socialness and general dislike of people." I isolate myself from real life as much as possible. When it does rears it's ugly head, I tend to ignore it. Like I said, I'm a tad paranoid, so trust and I aren't familiar.
I like electronic toys (computers, tvs, digital cameras, etc.) because they connect me to some people who know me better than my actual family. My addiction to computers started in 1997 when my father bought his first computer. My little space in the Internet has been cleared out and I'm comfortable here. It's natural that since I'm enamoured with electronics that I consider myself a graphic goddess and games freak. I have been playing The Sims since it came out and I have accumlated quite a number of custom downloads for the game. I also love The Sims 2. I love making art, graphics, icons, blends, websites, HTML and other things that center around my graphics tablet, Photoshop, and Painter X. My PS2 + Rock Band2 & Guitar Hero World Tour = LOVE!
I'm a smart person when I want to be and I used to be nice. Now I'm "a royal bitch" and I can't help be brutally honest. I'll respect anyone who can return the courtesty. I don't like fake people or those who lie, mainly because I don't have the time, energy, or sanity to deal with these type of people. If you do get close to me, you'll know where you stand. I do have a knack for shoving my negative vibes onto other people. Sorry. I can be sweet and caring but if you piss me off then you can probably bet that I'm going to get very wrathful.
Even though I'm an adult, I don't think being grown-up is all that everyone makes it out to be. Truth be told, it sucks and I'd like to be a kid again. I like pointless office toys called Nohohons. I love penguins because of the way they waddle. I'm rather obsessed with them and can identify sub-species. I have over 50 penguin figurines throughout my home. I also love cats and I have four of them. Their names are Cicero, Columbia, and Erneh. Katrina passed away 9/27/06 and will always be in my heart. My cats are my fur-children and they each have their little quirks that make me love them. I absolutely hate spiders and big dogs.
I love caramel. I have a fondess for green tea, any Diet Coke product, cherries, spinach, roasted veggies and ice cream. I have a milk allergy though which means I have to drink soy milk or I'm sick for days. I crave buffalo wings, sushi, Chinese, Mexican, and Italian food. I don't eat a lot of red meat. I do love cooking/baking and I watch Food Network almost constantly.
I love books. I love music and my music collection is over 24,000 MP3s. I'm obsessed with Harry Potter, Arsenal, NASCAR, Aeris Gainsborough, The Red Pyramid, Ben Mckenzie, Fredrik Ljungberg, Amy Lee, Ryan Reynolds, and Kasey Kahne.
Harry Potter
I stumbled over the HP fandom by accident and boredom. When HP first came out I boycotted reading it and was very against it because it was popular. In 2002 I had found a copy of The Sorceror's Stone in a box in the trash, so I picked it up and took it home. Then I got really sick in the beginning of 2003 and was confined to my bed for several months, I got bored and read it. It turned out that Harry Potter wasn't so bad and I loved the story. A month or two passed by and OotP came out, I sat at home and laughed at the HP fangirls who fought over the book. I thought they were idiots. I also said that'd never be me. :|
One day, I was browsing the internet for some slash to read. So a friend of mine named Varlise directed me to a fic called "In The Raw", I read it. I wanted more to read about these characters name Harry and Draco so I was directed to FF.net and became very confused because I didn't know the backstory to these fics. I never made the connection that Harry and Draco were part of HP. I asked Var what the fics were based off of an she told me. I screamed, "OMG No! I hate you. You need to die!" at her and she laughed at me. This was a children's book and I was like OMGWTF boysex. Over the course of two weeks I bought the rest of the books and became a fangirl in July 2003. I've been active in the fandom since October 2003.
My favourite book is DH and my favourite movie is OOTP.

Ships
I have many ships but I've broken them down into sections. I have a fondness for Millicent Bulstrode, she has taken over my brain and Seamus Finnigan. I do like reading a variety of fics but tend to stay away from ones that deal with body fluids. Icky :S. I won't ship any canon ships because of the fact that they are canon... what's the point? Also the following ships have been banned because I will NOT ship Ron/Hermione, Draco/Ginny nor Harry/Ginny.
Ernie Macmillan/Millicent Bulstrode is my Ultimate OTP. Neither character is to be paired with anyone else unless the other is in the fic and hopefully seething with jealousy. It will not be messed with or bashed or I shall smack you with my Drogba stick. Yes, I imagine you're scratching your head going WTF. It's strange because how could a Hufflepuff/Slytherin relationship possibly work? There is no mainstream pairing like it in the fandom so how was this invented? An rpg called out of the fire started July 2004 and the pairing was born.
Even though E/M is my OTP I have other het pairings that I will read. I like Ron/Pansy, Lily/James, Millicent/Justin, Millicent/Neville, Millicent/Blaise and Pansy/Draco. My guilty pleasure is Harry/Hermione.
Harry/Draco is a soft spot in my heart and my slash OTP. Seamus/Blaise comes in second and Seamus/Theodore is third. I also like Snape/Harry, Sirius/Remus, Neville/Draco and Crabbe/Goyle.
Hermione/Ginny is my femmeslash OTP. I don't know why but I like it especially if Ginny dies somehow. Millicent/Cho is nice, so is Pansy/Parvati.

NASCAR
I was introduced to NASCAR in 2002 by my mother. She would lure me out of my house for Sunday dinner and I would go because I am a sucker for food. Usually the crowd would consist of Grimm, my mom, niece, brother, his best friend and me. We would eat, sit around and talk then migrate into the living room where the TV would be turned to the race. I had no clue what was going on in NASCAR and I thought it to be extremely boring because how could going around in circles be exciting? That question answered itself when I saw my first wreck and it was a bad one. There were cars spinning, fire, smoke and I've been hooked ever since.

I created the community nascar_slash. I love Kasey Kahne and Kevin Harvick. So my OTP for this fandom is Kahne/Harvick. Busch/Kahne is hot and so is Busch/Kahne/Harvick. Dom!Kasey will get you everywhere with me and my guilty pleasures are Waltrip/Jr and Tony Stewart/Kasey Kahne.
I hate Jimmie Johnson with a firey passion. He is known as the Eyebrow Minion of Doom TM.
