simpsons movie (no spoilers)
it was bittersweet.
the movie was fantastic, very funny. And after 15 years it was amazing to see the simpsons THAT BIG!
it was also touching in the way that only the simpsons can be touching. with all the things that go wrong, with all the things that homer fucks up, they are still a solid family. damn i love the simpsons. i have to admit, i got a bit emotional a couple of times.
i'm not giving anything away about the movie, but i suggest seeing it!
it was sweet.
the bitter part:
i kept wanting to reach over and hold his hand. or sneak glances at him to see if he was smiling too. i missed his laughter melding with mine...those two loud retarded laughs in the theater.
hopefully, we will see it together soon.
i saw him briefly in union square while he ate at mcdonalds and i nibbled at a snack wrap. we talked, hugged, kissed, and held hands. and then he went off to work, and i headed home to the cats.
