Flowers
My mommy sent me flowers at work today!

On Monday night John asked me what my work address was. I didn't know why. On Tuesday, he asked me for my new work number (keep in mind that I've been there a year next week) Then he asked me Wednesday via email, Gmail chat and text message if I was "working tomorrow." I didn't understand why he was asking me, it was Thursday of course I was. So I chatted with him that night and he told me that he was off a day all week, he thought tomorrow was Friday. I said that explains it.
Well, come to find out I got flowers so that's why he was asking! The switchboard called me to pick up my flowers. I got up to Marketing and with Laura and Kayte standing around, I opened up the card and it said "Lin; thank you for being there for me. Love, Mom" Isn't that terrific!?! Love it!! Made me so happy. I haven't gotten flowers since December 2007 when Brent sent me some for my half marathon.
Funny thing is that I was going to send my mother flowers next week for St. Patrick's Day and to cheer her up. Guess I'll wait for Easter or Mother's Day now!! :-)
It's the little things that make me happy. Don't even need to spend much money. Getting a card in the mail, getting an email with some nice kind words in it, stuff like that. If only Brent realised...
