Well, once again I'm back.

It's been a month or so since I fell of the wagon, but I am pleased to report that as of today at the doctors, in that month I only gained back roughly 2 pounds of what I lost. So my current weight is 215.

I'd like to say that I hit rock bottom and I know that this is officially me kicking it into high gear for good, but I've said that before, and I don't know what you call it when you hit rock bottom repeatedly... perhaps just digging deeper. But this feels promising.

I went to the doctor today for a bladder infection and he asked me if I had ever had my sugar levels checked. Like not just a little finger poke on a home meter, but whatever they do at the doctor that tells them how your sugars are overall long term. I never have. I got pretty scared and asked if my urine sugar levels were off, and he said they were fine (Thank God) but that since both my parents have Type II Diabetes and I am overweight, that I need to check my sugars once in a while and be aware of it, since I am likely to become diabetic as well.

It was rather shocking. I nearly cried. I mean, he didn't tell me anything that I didn't know already, but it was like "I'm 21 years old! How can we even be talking about diabetes? I plan on getting pregnant again someday, having more babies, chasing after them, growing old with my husband... how can we be talking about a serious, debilitating illness?"

It definitely made me realize that I really need to get back on track.

So today I have eaten:

Breakfast: A LARGE glass of cranberry juice (Trying to fight off the damn bladder infection)

Lunch/Dinner (I had a really weird day time wise): An omelette made with 3 large eggs, meunster cheese, tomatoes, onions, and mushrooms, with salsa on it, a piece of wheat toast, and 2 bowls of steamed brocolli, and an iced tea. And 3 french fries dipped in ranch off my sons plate.

So, here goes nothing. :)
