As always I'm having a hard time focusing. What I choose to focus on is pointless too. For example I've been having a lot of what-if thoughts about the boy I met in Atlantic City. What I need to do is get through these exams and return back west to replenish some sanity before I move into NYC.

Do you guys actually do your rotations in the city?

Yeah, I have one rotation up at a rural hospital. Some at the Met, which is on the upper east side, some at St. Vinny's which is near Greenwich village... one in the bronx.... Our school has a lot of hospitals associated with it--some here in westchester, in CT, all over. It's nice to be able to get a good range of experience.

That is pretty cool. Similar for me in Chicago, I am going to do rotations all over Chicago, including Cook County downtown, at some of the medical centers affiliated with other schools like Rush and Northwestern....it should be really good to get such a wide patient perspective.
